Like nailing jelly to a wall…

Hello Microsoft

without comments

I had sent my “recruiter” at Microsoft an email regarding the outcome of my interview on Nov 9th. Your supposed to hear back regardless 2 weeks after the interview, it was now the third week.

I received the following email from Ginny:

Your resume was on hold because we had to determine opps based on your interest and background match.

At this time, we still need to put you on hold until end of March as that’s when some of our additional headcounts will be available. Please continue to interview with other companies but just let me know if you have an offer deadline. Thanks for your patience. If in the end we are unable to continue this interview process, we hope you will consider us again for FT opps upon your graduation in June, 2008! We recruit for those starting in the fall.

Awesome?

I am excited that I didn’t just get sent a “Thank you for your interest, try again next year” email that Jason got. But at the same time, I will probably get the same email two weeks from now anyway.

Google also turned me down:

We received your resume and would like to thank you for your interest in
Google. After carefully reviewing your experience and qualifications, we
have determined that we do not have a position available which is a strong
match at this time.

.. And no word from Apple yet (if ever).
