Go GO Gadget Xbox 360!

So I am VERY happy with my premium Xbox console - Microsoft just released a free software update for it that adds some very slick features, and generally makes the whole thing run a bit smoother.
The best feature by far? Folders for videos!
Previously it just dumped all the *.avi’s into one list, now it actually will show and follow the directory structure on your computer, so now I finally have a listed organized by Movies, TV, and podcasts.
The Xbox has been great as a media center for me, it is attached to my desktop via TVersity and I watch all my TV shows and movies on it now (as opposed to spending 15 minutes every night trying to get the stupid NVidia drivers on my desktop to do component out correctly).
I even have a little media remote for the xbox, so I dont always have to use a game controller.
I still only own one game, Gears of War, which I have beaten on Casual (Thanks Jason), and Hardcore (thanks Andrew). Now Andrew and I are working on beating the hardest difficulty on COOP, Insane.
I do own several arcade games though, my favorite being UNO .
COOP Anyone?![]()
No, not the gaming cooperative play… cooperative employment: I have accepted my offer with Thomson again, and exchanged two final emails with my Microsoft recruiter:
Hey Nicholas,
Again, I’m sorry I was unable to find you the best team for your background this summer but let’s chat again in the fall for FT ok? Or internship again if you’re going for more schooling!
Ginny
Talent Scout
And then one more after I responded to tell her I will be working for Thomson:
No prob – we both LOVE your energy! With so many students, it’s great to stand out!
My suggestion is to work on simplifying your coding solutions – and double check your work! Take another programming course in the fall too! SDE FT opps are also tough but I think you have the drive to brush up those skills.
So it is rather exciting that I may have a full time position at Microsoft when I graduate if I want it - I definitely plan to spend a good chunk of my free time during COOP studying up on C# and other Microsoft technologies.
