Halo 3 Beta = Rockin

without comments

So my rental of Crackdown arrived in the mail this morning, courtesy of GameFly.com 10 day free trial. I think I may keep their service for a month or two and try out a few games… Marvel Ultimate Alliance should be here tomorrow too!

But anyway, onto talk about Halo 3 – the beta has 3 maps, several game modes. You can only play in the beta one of three ways:

  • You get an invite form Bungie because your special
  • You get an invite from Bungie because of the “Rule of Three” (random selection)
  • You have a copy of the game Crackdown that has the Halo 3 beta included.

I am not fortunate enough to fit into the first two categories, and I certainly will not pay $60 for a random game (tried the demo, didn’t enjoy the demo) just to play the Halo 3 demo. So what other choice does a gamer like myself have? Rent it!

I am actually quite surprised that my little plan worked – and I have a few games under my belt with Jason to prove it!

I’ve never really been a Halo fan, played Halo 1 when it came to Windows in 2003 – never really got into Halo 2 (did not own an original Xbox), but I think I will pick up a copy of Halo 3 in September when it is released to retail.

Updated Wordpress to 2.2, seems slightly more snappy.
