- *MobileTwitter will automatically check for new Replies when opened. The button bar will display the number of new replies waiting for you to view.
- Replies and Direct Messages Views now highlight unread/new messages.
- Tapping a tweet will now also give you the option to view the authors recent tweets.
MobileTwitter 1.5 is still a ways off, but I might release a beta version to my private repository for public testing.
* Automatically checking for Replies and Direct Messages at startup is costly. Twitter only allows 70 API requests to be made per 60 minute period. Checking for both Replies and Direct Messages, as well as pulling your timeline will use up three requests every time you open the application. To ease the burden on the API I am only checking Replies at the moment.

New features sound great. Would love to test it out when the beta is ready. :-)

will you have the twitter names url linkable? also will url’s be linkable? i have been using your app for a couple days and LOVE it, but the one missing thing is that i can’t go straight to the twitters that people are replying too. i have to click, view in mobile safari, then get the actual tweet on twitter, then from there, click on the twitter name or the url. is that coming?
one more thing. i think you can go one font down on the tweets, as some of them get cut off and most apps display smaller fonts.
thanks!!!
(could you send me the lastest beta?)

Mobile Twitter has saved my life. It is so much better than trying to get to the twitter mobile site. Thanks for making this, very awesome!

Thanks so much for this solution. I can’t wait for future versions and new features. I agree with other commenter’s, it is brilliant compared to web based solutions.

I for one love the black interface.
